James Crimp
President
James is a seasoned CEO with a proven track record spanning over three decades in education management. He has held prominent directorial and board-level positions across six countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, Denmark, and the USA.
Sandeep Argarwal
Secretary and Treasurer
Sandeep grew up in Whyalla, South Australia, and moved to Adelaide when he was in high school. During Year 11, he went on an exchange to Germany and hasn’t stopped travelling since. Between travel adventures, he completed his Bachelor of Law and Commerce, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting. He now spends his days helping students prepare for their exchanges and is either talking on the phone to families or playing with his two daughters, whom he adores.
Muriel Scheid

With her passion for cultural exchange & international education, coupled with more than 25 years' experience in the industry, Muriel has held management positions in both Australia & France and managed & developed a portfolio of educational programs both for the junior and the adult markets. Muriel's goal is to keep on contributing to the ever changing and always inspiring education & travel industry.
Vinciane Thomas
Member
Vinciane Thomas has led AFX since 2006, after being its first exchange student at St Catherine’s School in Toorak in 1998 — an experience that shaped her career. With a Law Degree from France and a Master’s from Monash University, Vinciane brings a unique Franco-Australian perspective to cultural exchange. Married to an Australian and raising binational children, she leads AFX with deep personal and professional insight, helping families navigate the complexities of linguistic immersion between France and Australia.
